Jean-Marie Bétermier

Graduated from École Polytechnique (1984), ISAE-SUPAERO and IEP Institute of Political Studies of Toulouse (1986), Jean-Marie Bétermier began his career at the Technical Department of CNES, the French Space Agency. Then, he joined the CS Group (Communication & Systems), where he held various management positions. In 2001, after the acquisition of CS by Gunnebo AB, he occupied CEO roles for different Business Units of the Group. From 2008 to 2012, he led IER, the terminals and systems division for airport and airlines ticketing solutions of Bolloré Group. Since 2012, Jean-Marie has been managing Safran Data Systems, a subsidiary of Safran Electronics & Defense.
In 2021, he is appointed Space Executive Vice-President of the newly created Space Global Business Unit of Safran Electronics & Defense, which gathers all Safran’s space activities including Safran Reosc, Safran Data Systems and Safran Spacecraft Propulsion. He continues to serve as President of Safran Data Systems.
