Ulli Leibnitz

Ulli Leibnitz leads the Space Business Unit at CGI Germany, drawing on more than three decades of international experience in the space sector.
After graduating in Aerospace Engineering from the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and serving as a commissioned officer in the German Air Force, he turned his passion for space into a lifelong professional pursuit.
Today, Ulli Leibnitz focuses on advancing the digital transformation of the space industry and strengthening the economic and strategic role of space technologies across sectors — from enhancing data sovereignty to enabling resilience in critical infrastructures.
He is also actively involved in national and international policy and industry bodies, where he works to foster collaboration between government, industry, and academia in shaping the future of space activities in and from Germany.
