Teodoro Valente
In charge as President of the Italian Space Agency since June 14th 2023; Full Professor of Materials Science and Technology and Aerospace Materials at Rome University “La Sapienza”. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering, master’s in business administration at LUISS University of Rome.
Among the countless positions prior to the Presidency of the Italian Space Agency:
– Deputy Rector for Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer at Rome University La Sapienza.
– National seconded expert by the MUR at the European Commission for European Scientific and Technological Cooperation Actions in the Materials Area, first Director and
then President of the National Interuniversity Consortium on Materials Science and Technology.
– Director of the National Research Council Institute IPCB (Institute for Polymers Composites and Biomaterials).
– Author of numerous publications in International/National Journals and Proceedings of International/National Conferences, co-inventor of three international patents
